1992 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera RS Rubystone - car poster print
In 1992, Porsche produced a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive Carrera RS for the European market only. It was based on the Carrera Cup race car and was, in essence a modern homage to the 2.7RS.
It featured a modified 260 bhp engine with a lightweight flywheel mated to a closer ratio gearbox, track-oriented suspension system with a 40 mm lower ride height and stiffer springs, shocks and adjustable anti-roll bars. The Carrera RS was approximately 150 kg lighter than the Carrera 2 model. There was also an N/GT racing variant with a stripped, blank metal interior and a roll cage. One of the purest Porsche’s ever to be made.
