911 Pre-73

Pre-73 Porsche 911's had only minor visual differences since their introduction as the Typ-901 in 1963. All had the long bonnet design, with slender bumpers and delicate chrome work. The main structural difference was the lengthening of the wheelbase in 1968 to give more predictable handling, which needed a repositioning of the rear wheel arch to accommodate the longer suspension arms.
