The Lancia Stratos HF (Tipo 829) was introduced in 1973, with the HF standing for 'High Fidelity'. It was styled by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, and won the World Rally Championship in 1974, 1975 and 1976. It started a new era in rallying as it was purpose built for competition. Only 492 cars were produced, including homologated road cars.
