1970 Porsche 908/3 Gulf Targa Florio No.12 - poster print
1970 Porsche 908/3 Gulf Targa Florio No.12 - car poster print
The 908 was first introduced in 1968, but the 1970 908/3 version was more successful, winning the 1970 Nurburgring 1000km and the Targa Florio.
Based upon the lightweight and short Porsche 909 which was used in hillclimbing, the new open cockpit 908/3, was even shorter than the 908/02, and only weighed 500 kg - an astonishing figure for a such long-distance racing car - as a comparison, the 917K weighed about 840 kg. The engine was a flat 3 litre flat 8.
Another recognisable feature, and which the car is most known for, are the striking liveries, with simple graphic forms allowing each car to be distinct from opposition and team mates on track.
Accurate and detailed, this print features unique attributes of the original car, but given a stylised and contemporary graphic treatment to look distinct and stylish on your wall.
